"Local Nicaragua" is a store that sells furniture and fabrics. The project is the result of the renovation and expansion of a "Casa Chorizo" (a type of house with historical value for the city of Buenos Aires), located on a lot of 8.66 x 20.50 meters. Reuse, recycling, restoration, preservation, temporality, rupture, and mimesis are some of the concepts that were highlighted through the intervention. Everything existing that was considered valuable had to be preserved and restored, respecting its original architectural and symbolic character. Everything new that would be part of the expansion was designed with a contemporary language, clearly reflecting the current era.
